Kestrel

Description

Kestrel is long-oval in shape and has white skin with purple/blue splashes around the eyes. It is proving to be very popular with consumers due to its versatile cooking characteristics and good taste.

Maturity is generally 2 weeks longer than the Nadine variety.

Cooking Characteristics

Kestrel is a good all purpose potato that is excellent for roasting and frying. It is a fairly dry textured potato with good flavour and no discolouration after cooking. It mashes smooth with only slight riciness and has good texture after microwaving.
